To Rock Solid Church,

Good morning all of you great people of faith and lovers of Jesus Christ! While these are certainly unusual times that we are living in, it truly is a historic moment for our nation and a unique opportunity for the body of Christ. Don’t become disillusioned by the daily reports of the media and the forebodings and negativity that often appear on social media. Stay focused on the truths that are found in God’s word and be encouraged by the unfailing nature of His promises and of His faithfulness.

In the last few days, there has been a shift in the recommendations that have been released by health officials and government agencies at the federal, state and local levels concerning the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). As such, the leadership at Rock Solid Church has made the decision to temporarily suspend all meetings and services that are held at 334 Union Street in Hudson, NY effective today, Wednesday March 18th. While this is on the one hand, a bit disheartening, it is also very exciting! Over the last few days, we have been exploring new and creative ways to gather together and BE the church! It’s important in a time like this that we remember, the church isn’t shutting down, just our buildings are!

With that in mind, we will be offering the following ways to stay connected:

  • While the meeting restrictions are in effect, all Sunday morning services will be live-streamed and accessible on our church Facebook Page and website at 10am. The service will include a time of worship as well as a message from one of our pastors. The live-feed will then be archived and be available to watch at your convenience.
  • We also will be posting a teaching every Wednesday evening that will appear on these same platforms at 7pm.
  • Both Generation Now (youth ministry) and Generation Next (children’s ministry) will be reaching out to parents in an effort to reach and stay connected to our young people.
  • Life Groups: while the current situation limits our ability to meet in “mass,” we can still gather together in homes. It’s during these times, that we can cherish the beauty of small gatherings of believers. Throughout history, the church has not been dependent on a physical gathering space to define it. The words of Jesus ring true when He said, “Where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” As such, life groups will be continuing to meet according to their normal meeting schedule. If you are currently not a part of a life group, but would like to gather together with other believers to pray together, encourage each other and worship God together, please contact us at

As stated previously, we will be paying close attention to the decisions handed down by our governments and health agencies. As we receive information, we will be keeping the church informed. All relevant communication will be available in the following formats: church website (, the church app, our social media pages (Facebook & Instagram) and through a mass email correspondence.

Remember, be encouraged and don’t lose heart! This is an opportunity to strengthen all of our relationships: with the Lord, our families, and within the body of Christ. It is an opportunity to find ways to serve our communities and love our neighbor.  It is an opportunity to experience God’s presence in the reality of our lives and our homes. We challenge you to not to let this become a time of drawing back, but a time for you to press in and lean into what God is saying to His church! We are alive for such a time as this! We will come through this and be stronger and better than we ever have before!

We love you all,

Rock Solid Church Pastors
